Another test knit and another knit for baby! Conscious is the latest design from Kelly Brooker. It's a unisex sweater designed to use a gradient paired with another neutral yarn. Of course the yoke colour doesn't need to be a gradient. It could easily be a solid, semi-solid or variegated yarn giving endless possibilities.
Trying to be economical, I did a stash dive and came up with some Debbie Bliss cashmerino and rialto dk. Enough for a wee baby sized sweater.

Size - 42.5 cm (3-6 months)
Colour 1 -  32 g/67 m Debbie Bliss Rialto DK in citrus
Colour 2 -  66 g/145 m Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK in apple green

Cute sweater design, something a bit different when combining colours. The pattern, as expected, is clearly written and easy to follow. It also comes in 16 sizes from 35 to 72.5 cm chest (newborn to 10 years).

Leopold test knit

I've been busy test knitting for Kelly Brooker again! Her latest pattern release (and her 100th design) is Leopold. Leopold is a top down unisex raglan sweater knit in 4 ply.  It has acute slipped stitch feature panel down the front and applied in cord edgings on the hem, cuffs and neckline. It comes in 16 sizes from newborn to 10 years (35 to 72.5 cm), so a great value pattern!
As baby number 3 is on the way, I knit the 40 cm (0-3 months) using Debbie Bliss Rialto 4 ply in the amber (22039) colourway. It took about 70 g, 254 m and is, in my opinion, adorable.
