I knit my first Baby Surprise Jacket. It was for my friends little boy who arrived a week ago. It was quite an enjoyable knit with an interesting construction. With a little bit of folding this.....
turned into this...

I will probably knit another one in the future but it is an awful lot of garter stitch so I think I'll leave it for a while!

  1. That looks great! I've done 2 BSJs, and while they're a lot of fun, you are *DEAD ON* -- it is a *LOT* of garter stitch. It's pretty magical the first time you fold that misshapen rectangle into a sweater, though. Very cool see how it works out. I love the way the stripes worked out with your yarn, too. Very nice looking!
